Full-Time | Industrial Manufacturing | Hands-On Role
We are seeking a reliable Shipping & Receiving Assistant to support daily logistics, material tracking, and load-out operations in a heavy manufacturing environment. This role plays a key part in ensuring materials are received accurately, documented properly, and shipped with the correct jobs.
What You’ll Do
- Receive and sign for deliveries; verify items against packing lists
- Enter receiving and shipment data into internal tracking systems
- Route receiving paperwork to appropriate departments
- Label and track job-specific materials using project and order numbers
- Coordinate with shipping staff to ensure loose materials ship with the correct loads
- Review shop drawings and identify loose materials required for outbound shipments
- Prepare and document bills of lading
- Organize loose materials in the parts yard by job
- Support load-out and shipping areas as needed
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 1 year of experience in a heavy manufacturing or industrial environment
- Experience reading drawings or shop prints (preferred)
- Basic math skills and attention to detail
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Comfortable using hand tools and industrial equipment
- Reliable, organized, and safety-minded
Physical & Work Environment
- Indoor and outdoor industrial facility
- Exposure to heat, cold, dust, wind, and noise
- Standing and walking 8+ hours per day across a large facility
- Frequent bending, lifting, climbing stairs/ladders
- Lift 0–50 lbs independently; heavier items with assistance or equipment
- PPE required at all times
